INBMC Information and Rules
Internet-based Mathematics Competition is an annual online mathematics competition where contestants must answer 18 questions in 90 minutes. (All answers are non-negative integers.)
The comtest is divided into 6 problem sets, with each set containing 3 problems worth 1, 2 and 4 points. The maximum possible score is 42 points.
Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be awarded at a ratio of roughly 1 : 2 : 3, with around 50% of participants receiving a medal. Honorable Mentions will be awarded to those who don’t win a medal but manages to solve at least one problem set completely.
Starting from INBMC 2017, cutoffs will be decided by a popular vote among contestants. Possible medal amounts will be revealed for contestants to vote after moderation.
Starting from INBMC 2016, all participants must be registered on Art of Problem Solving to participate in the contest.
Thanks, and happy solving!
